Do you remember the days when you could grab a Polaroid camera and have printed photos in a matter of minutes? Don’t know about you, but I missed Polaroid. After all, a printed picture is not the same as a JPEG shared over Bluetooth or on Facebook. Well, Polaroid fans, now your favorite camera is back and it can print photos without ink. That camera is Polaroid Snap.
Well, not exactly without ink. The trick is special paper from ZINK that uses a new technology called Zero Ink. This paper already contains cyan, yellow and magenta, so all it needs is a Polaroid Snap camera that has a ZINK printer inside.
The photos Polaroid Snap can print are 2×3 inches, which is rather small. Luckily, the camera supports microSD memory cards of up to 32GB in size, so you can always save your photos and print larger versions whenever you want. And since Polaroid Snap is a 10 megapixel camera, the quality will be more than decent.
Polaroid Snap camera will be available in the 4th quarter of 2015 and it will cost $99. A 50 pack of ZINK paper costs $24.99 on Amazon.
