Well, Im trying hard to upload my video but the site keeps cutting a part of it, would be good to have the entire video to show my family who lives far from me!
Thanks

I was just wondering something. I have noticed a huge difference in my video quality lately. All the videos I have uploaded after November 22nd of this year have very poor quality. All my videos before November look crystal clear. Why is this? Do I need to reinstall something? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

As you read in this post, the DropBox coding was adjusted so that the video player would be a smaller size. Unfortunately, this also meant a change in the video resolution, so your videos after that date may not be quite as sharp. We do apologize for the inconvenience.

1. I agree with everything oliver t griswold said

2. RSS Feeds please!!!!!!! I would have loved to have purchase a WiFi digital picture frame for my parents that could have linked to all DropShots pics that I have like. Also, if you do decide to add this support, please PLEASE please do not try to work out some proprietary deal with a digital picture frame manufacturer where we have to use some special service - make it open and accessible to multiple devices.

my current continued requests:

1. calendar view (year, month, week) with random thumbnails (as in original dropshots)
2. let’s go back to the big high quality videos (implement auto-bandwidth adjustment if you're feeling adventuresome)
3. auto-resizing of old photo thumbnails to new larger format
4. auto-detect of out of date dropbox when uploads are attempted; prompt to download latest 'n greatest

thanks much,

oliver…

I agree that it would be nice to be given the option to choose the original Dropshots setup. In fact, I have found that my videos now seem to be poorer quality than before.
When the Cocacola Company tried out the "New Coke" , and found that it wasn't well received, they went back to the original formula (Coke Classic). What we have now is not "Dropshots Classic", it is "Dropshots Classic plus some changes". PLEASE give us back "Dropshots Classic"!!!!

Hi, Darren: Does this mean we need to download a new DropBox and re-upload videos? Or should everything be OK as is?

PLEASE… PLEASE! Bring back the larger videos! This made DropShots the best out there. Reversing this feature makes me very upset with the DropShots team. You can’t take something that was great away and try to make it a good thing. Everyone LOVED the large screen videos. It really set DropShots apart from the rest of the “video sites” like youtube and what have you.

I didn't mind the long download time. I upload hundreds of videos and pictures at a time, and the wait was always worth it. If I wanted a particular video uploaded first for immediate sharing or viewing, I dropped it in the DropBox alone till it was finished.

I use my video’s ALL THE TIME for family that I no longer live near, such as my parents and sisters and niece and nephew. Not only me, but my daughter, greatly dislike the small videos because we use DropShots to upload “video hellos” and messages between her and her cousins. The large screen made it almost like talking to them in person for her.

I don’t know how to express my total dislike for that feature being removed. Please think about your users and what will keep them here before you make such large changes like this.

Can’t star users get at least a vote on some of the things being altered??

I also agree with Carole, I hate to say. :( I used to tell EVERYONE about DropShots. In fact, I’m pretty sure EVERYONE on my friends list signed up because I told them about it one way or another. Getting rid of certain “loved” features like the large screen video is a HUGE step backwards.

Also… I just want to point out that out of all the people who’ve signed up with DropShots because I’ve done my fair share of promoting your site because it has been so great… 5 of them are LifeTime Star Users, not including my own Star Membership Status.

So seriously… Don’t disappoint us; bring back the “Big and Beautiful Video” windows you advertise on your main page.

As a suggestion, how about Star/Premium Users get the option to pick what video window size they want? Like an option under the "Settings" button. Is there anyway to let us choose for ourselves so then the people who didn't want the wait can get their instant gratification while the people like me who don't mind a wait for a great experience will be able to get the "Big and Beautiful Videos" back?

I appreciate any consideration you take on this message, or any response.
