What Formats Does DropShots Support?

“What formats does DropShots support?” is a question we get very often. So we thought we’d list all supported image and video formats in a blog post for your reference.

Image Formats

You can upload images in the following formats:

.JPG, .JPEG, .PNG, .GIF, .BMP and .TIF

Both the website and all DropShots apps support these.

Video Formats

In addition to all the popular image formats, DropShots supports a bunch of popular video formats. There are slight differences between the formats supported by the website and the app, though.

If you want to upload your videos using the DropShots website, you can upload:

.MP4, .AVI, .MKV, .MOV, .FLV, .MPG, .WMV, .WEBM, .OGV, .M2V, .M4V, .3GP

And if you’re uploading videos through DropShots apps, then you can upload in the following formats:

.MP4, .AVI, .MKV, .MOV, .FLV, .MPG, .WMV, .OGV, .M2V, .M4V, .3GP, .3G2, .ASF, .VOB

How to Print Multiple Photos from DropShots

Order multiple printsIn one of our posts we’ve shown you how to order prints of select photos with either Walgreens or Kodak. In this post we’re going to cover a new DropShots feature that allows you to quickly select multiple photos or whole albums and order prints. Like with individual prints, you will be able to print your photos with Kodak or Walgreens and pick them up at your nearest Target, Walgreens and other locations. So, let’s get started!

First of all, log into your DropShots account an go to the album or gallery you want to print photos from. If you want to select all photos in the album/gallery, click on “All” under “Select”. DropShots will select all the photos in the album and a green Order button will be activated. (more…)

DropShots Wishes You Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Merry ChristmasChristmas is nearly here and the year 2014 is coming to an end. We want to wish all those who celebrate Christmas a very merry one, and those who celebrate other holidays lots of light and joy during this festive season!

This year has been full of changes here on DropShots – we’ve redesigned the whole site and added lots of new features. It’s become easier to upload, share, comment on photos, as well as protect private albums and find friends on DropShots. We’ve also made the site responsive, so that you can visit it from any mobile device and get an awesome experience.

We’ve also partnered with Walgreens and made it possible for you to order professional photo prints and pick them up at your nearest Walgreens store. We are now working on adding more pickup locations. And now we’re working on a new feature that will let you create and order photobooks, large prints, and more. (more…)

Print Out Your DropShots Photos with Walgreens and Kodak

Today we’ve got some really exciting news to all our users – you can now print out your photos using Walgreens and Kodak. This means that you can order high-quality affordable prints and pick them up at your nearest Walgreens or Target store, sometimes even the same day. In this post we’re going to show you how to order your Walgreens or Kodak prints.

Ordering prints is really easy. First of all, you’ll need to open the photo you want to print. Then click on the hamburger menu in the top right corner and click on the printer icon:

DropShots Update: a Better and Sleeker DropShots for Windows

When you are trying to upload photos in bulk, it’s all about speed and usability. You want to upload your photos and videos as quickly as possible and that’s where DropShots desktop uploader comes in. The New DropShots for iPhone and iPad Supports iOS 7

DropShots for iOSThe latest and greatest iOS 7 has been getting a lot of praise for its clean design and cool new options. Because of its new look, apps designed for the previous versions of iOS didn’t look too good on iOS 7.

Well, we haven’t been idle here at DropShots and we’ve been working on a new version of our iOS app. Today the new version of the DropShots app became available for download. Now DropShots for iOS fully supports iOS 7 and has a cool new look. The new app works flawlessly on devices that have already been upgraded to iOS 7 and it will continue to work well on older versions of iOS.

We recommend that you update your DropShots app as soon as possible and enjoy its new look and feel.

Important DropShots for iOS Update

For the past month we’ve been working on DropShots for iOS – our iPhone and iPad app for uploading and managing photos in your DropShots account.

Our main goal was to optimize photo upload and make sure that it works flawlessly no matter whether you are uploading one or a hundred photos.

We’ve just released a new version of out iOS app – DropShots 1.3. In this new version, all previous problems and glitches that some users were experiencing when they tried to upload a large number of photos have been solved.

The new DropShots for iOS uploads images a lot faster than before. This means that you can upload as many photos as you want from your iPhone or iPad.

If you have the previous version of DropShots, we recommend that you update the app as soon as possible. Updating will fix any issues you may have had and will make uploading your photos a lot faster.

New DropShots for iPhone is Out!

We’ve had some great feedback from our users about our iPhone app. Thank you for using it! Now is the time for an upgrade because we’ve just released new DropShots for iOS and it has lots of cool new features.

First of all, we are excited to offer full iPad support. Now you can use the app on your iPad to manage your photos with DropShots.

Another feature that our users have been asking for is the option to share your DropShots photos on Facebook. Now it’s possible. To do that, simply go to your Gallery and open a photo. You will see the Facebook sharing button. Tap on it, then add a caption and post the photo to your DropShots album on Facebook.

We’ve also greatly improved the Gallery. Now you can view all your DropShots photos and videos on your iOS device, no matter which device you used to upload them. You can also download your photos from DropShots Galleries directly to your iPhone or iPad.

And last but not least, you can now go ahead and download the DropShots iPhone app even if you don’t have a DropShots account yet. Get the app and it will let you register and start uploading photos in less than two minutes. All this for FREE.

The New DropShots for Mac App Is Out!

We are happy to announce the release of DropShots for Mac 2.0. With this app Mac users can upload photos and videos to their DropShots account quickly and easily. The new release for DropShots for Mac features some major improvements and fixes.

New Interface

The latest version of DropShots for Mac has a brand new user interface. Now the app has the proper Mac look and feel. In addition to that, the new interface makes DropShots even easier to use thanks to a more intuitive installation process and drag  & drop support.

Faster Uploads

We know that everybody wants to be able to upload their photos as quickly as possible. That’s why we keep finding ways to speed up the DropShots app and make uploads fast and flawless, just like in DropShots for Mac 2.0.

More Supported Formats

Stability Improvements
